Havent updated in a while due to the birth of my son! So had my hands full and not been able to much art work. I managed to finish off my gira-cow illustration a few weeks back so here you go ;)

Jungle Haze Flyer

For the past few days ive been working on a flyer design for a jungle night over in Birmingham called ‘Jungle Haze’ (more info on the event right here: https://www.facebook.com/events/479727742038067)  again i wasnt given much direction to go in the guy just said he had seen some of my abstract work on my Deviantart page and just left me to do my own thing. Usually when i do asbtract work there isnt any planning involved i just go for it and see what happens! and heres what the final design ended up looking like front & back:

And also heres an alternative version of the flyer i did using a logo i had created before they had sent me over their logo:

Im glad that they are happy with what i came up and ive also been asked to design the flyers for their next few events and a few other things aswell! Which is brilliant i had fun doing this and look forward to working with them in the future :)

Ive done a new moombahton mix over the past few days aswell which is abit light than the last one you can find that here:

Ive also finished the moombahton tune ive been working on which will be available for your listening pleasure soonn… and im also working on a new moombahton/core tune which is sounding pretty good so far! I  spent most of  yesterday doing a complete identity design for a local dj/producer known as ‘Tyrant’ (http://www.soundcloud.com/dj-strike). He didnt tell me much about what he wanted (which i prefer as it gives me a chance to be more creative) he just said he wanted a logo and a name design and something which represents the name ‘Tyrant’  (Fighting a powerful oppressor) as an image. So  i started off by doing a few initial sketches and sending them over to get his opinion. I drew up a rough name design and a few rough logos.

Name Design:

I decided to take the 2 t’s from either side and turn them into a logo

Logo Ideas:

I noticed that this shape id drawn by connecting the 2 t’s could form some sort of face so also drew a robot/transformer style logo using this shape:

This logo and the name design and also the tag style logo were chosen by Tyrant to be used so i took these photos into illustrator and ended up with some pretty cool results. First i drew up the basic name design and the outline of the robot logo:

I then added some colour to the robot logo and put an outline on the name design:

I then decided to play about with the name design i had done add some 3d to it and also use some brushes to give some texture to them:

After i had done this i created a tag style logo aswell:

Which left me with designing something based around  the word ‘Tyrant’ the first thing that sprung to my mind was something in the style of russian properganda so i designed a properganda style poster using the logo i had made previously and this tag style version of the name anyway this is what i came up with:

And finally to finish off with i threw together something that could be used a desktop wallpaper using my personal favourite of the 3d name designs i had done earlier

First Post

Hey there,  im gona be using this as a place to post up any art that ive done and any songs ive produced and dj mixes. So to start off with heres a few illustrations ive done recently.  I usually start off by drawing up a rough idea on paper and then ill scan/photograph the drawing onto my computer and into illustrator this first one is of a zombie self portrait i drew for myself

I then took this photo into illustrator and outlined it and coloured it adding a few other smaller details and adding my name ‘hostain’ in a graffiti style that i had already drawn previous to doing this:

I thought this was a pretty cool design and wanted to see what it looked like on a t-shirt so decided to get a few printed off as a test:

The next thing is some artwork for my friend malphunk for his soundcloud/facebook page (http://soundcloud.com/malphunk), first i roughly drew a robot for him on paper and followed the same process as before taking it into illustrator i also drew him a graffiti tag saying malhpunk as seen below:

Ive also recently designed a new logo for a glitch-hop night over in liverpool called ‘whatz gwaaanin’ (like them on facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/WhatzGwaaanin)  i followed the same process for this design from the initial sketch to the final graphic:

*UPDATE* one final changeto the whatz gwaaanin logo after i posted this to bring the ‘i’ from gwaaanin to the front i also made a quick background to go with it aswell

Anyway enough about art, ill be sorting out a deviantart account soon and uploading all of my stuff onto there as an online portfolio of my work. Check out my most recent dubstep track called ‘ Bump This’ and remix of Hassasins Orchestrated Nightmare right here!

Ive currently got a few other tracks im working on at the moment, ive just finished my remix of Wobbleface by Jhyka which is to be released by Terrorform Records in september sometime, not sure on the exact date yet.  Im also working on a Moombahton track and some Metal Dubstep which ive currently got one of my friends recording some guitar samples for and im working on a sample/loop pack which is going to be sold on loopartists.com very soon!!

And also here is my most recent mix moving away from dubstep for a change!
